China 2014 gas production rose to record high level

China's natural gas output rose 8.9 percent year on year to a record monthly high of 13.9 bcf a day in December, government data showed on Tuesday, as oil majors revved up operation to meet demand in the winter season. Gas output for the whole year of 2014 gained 6.9 percent on year to 4358 bcf, also a record annual high, the data showed.
