China Natural Gas Industry Market Operation and Pricing Forum

The China Natural Gas Industry Market Operation and Pricing Forum was successfully held in Beijing on Nov 27-28 in Beijing.

 

 

The forum was organized by China Natural Gas Industry Association (CNGIA), Shanxi CBM Industry Association, and Gas Pipeline Net (www.chinagas.org).

 

 

 

Delegates and members from the State Council Development and Research Center, NDRC, U.S. Embassy in Beijing, CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, Yanchang, ENN, Kunlun, Asia American Gas, China Huaneng, China Resources, Evergrande, Green Peace, China university of Petroleum, CCIEE,and many other state-owned or private firms exchanged their views and suggestions on the development of gas market. The topics include market supply and demand outlook, pricing reform and market structure transformation, pipeline and underground storage construction, LNG and CBM development strategy, syngas and biomass gas outlook, shale gas development, comprehensive gas utilization and distribute energy.

 

 

Some were keen to look for new investment opportunities in natural gas market, while others were interested to find cooperation partners in foreign countries to import LNG.

 

 

 

As China has vowed to cut down coal consumption and boost low-carbon energy use so as to meet its solemn pledge made in international climate change talks , gas will play a key role in that transition. Some participants in the forum hoped that CNGIA would organize more events like this and provide more support in their search for more business opportunities.
